Alliance Names New Director
In conjuction with becoming an independent division of CGFNS International, Inc., Mukul Bakhshi will be replacing Patricia Pittman as the director of the Alliance. He has extensive experience in political and legal advocacy, social justice, and non-profit strategy formulation.
Mr. Bakhshi most recently served as a management and strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and Altman Vilandrie & Company, where he developed the organizational strategy for a major non-profit consumer protection organization and a statewide telehealth network. He also co-founded Standard Start, a non-profit startup working with stakeholders including the New York City Deputy Mayor’s Office, attorneys, and incubators to provide entrepreneurs with information on basic elements of founding and running a business. Previously, Mukul worked at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, where he focused on prisoner reentry issues and served as the Policy Associate for the Small Business Development and LGBT Issues policy committees for Mayor-elect Cory Booker’s transition team. He also taught in the Millburn Township Public Schools in New Jersey. Mukul received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and received a Parker School Certificate for International Law.
